I’m Martha Essien, a Community & Operations Manager focused on building communities that don’t just engage people, but actually run well.

Over the past 6 years, I’ve worked with community-led brands to improve their member experience, program delivery, and the systems that keep everything running. I help bring structure so communities feel good to be part of and are manageable to run. My approach is shaped by understanding both the people and the processes and making sure they work together, not against each other.

I also write about the community profession by sharing lessons, documenting my work, and contributing to the growth of other community professionals in their journey.
